GEOFFREY has been training from the historic Hamilton Stables in Compton, Berkshire since January 2013. He openly admits that he is delighted
with how well the horses train from Hamilton Stables – all come fit with ease, are relaxed, healthy and happy.
With daily access to 85 acres of superb private historic downland gallops, a 5f fibre-sand gallop, a horse-walker, a covered ride, turnout
paddocks and cages, the horses have all the facilities needed, and without ever having to exercise on or near a public road.
The gallops really are top class, with a wonderful cushion of grass, and are suitable for training all types of horses from early season two-year-olds to older staying types, sprinters and NH horses on ground that was looked after immaculately for many years by Mr. Peter Cundell.
Even at the height of summer, flat horses are rarely stopped from working as there is so much depth of grass – only to be expected as the
gallops have never been ploughed and were first developed right back in the 18th century.
Geoffrey takes pride in training with his horseman's eye, yet using a commercial approach ensuring that individual requirements for each
owner are prioritised, and, when possible, that the resale value of the Flat horses is maximised.
The aim for each horse is to achieve its potential – whatever that might be – so giving each owner a financial and sporting return on his or her investment.
Using modern training techniques, alongside traditional horsemanship skills, Geoffrey is keen to return the historic yard, that has for centuries produced numerous winners across all codes, back to its rightful place in the top echelon of the sport of kings.
Geoffrey is ambitious and keen to move his training business forward – join him on his journey.
